Functional Foot Orthotics
Functional Foot Orthotics or Insoles are devices contoured to your feet and are used to prevent abnormal motion and position of the foot, but also lower limb joints and spine. They can be premanufactured or tailormade for an individual by using variety of different materials, finishes and trims.
Ankle Foot Orthoses for Children and Adults
Ankle Foot Orthoses (AFO's) are devices fitted to the body to help prevent or improve deformity, stabilise joints, improve mobility and prevent risk of injury.
Often used in Neurological conditions such as Stroke, Cerebral Palsy and Multiple Sclerosis.
It may be a premanufactured device or tailormade for an individual using a variety of materials and finishes.

About me
Accomplished Orthotist with an MBA in Healthcare Management and over 15 years of experience in clinical orthotics, multidisciplinary care, and healthcare leadership.
I started my career in South Africa after qualifying, working in the government sector. This afforded me the opportunity to work in rural locations and honed my ability to think ‘outside the box’ to find creative clinical solutions to complex presentations, skills that I would carry with me for the duration of my career.
I relocated to Ireland in 2007 and to the UK in 2011 where I’ve been fortunate to work in various clinicals both in out-patient and acute settings, where I have been fortunate enough to ctively engage in multidisciplinary clinics for diabetic, rheumatoid arthritis, Paediatric,and neurological patients, integrating biomechanical assessment and early intervention strategies to improve long-term quality of life.
I am skilled in assessing and managing complex patient cases, providing bespoke orthotic solutions, and driving clinical quality improvement initiatives. Demonstrated expertise in foot, ankle, and gait analysis, with extensive exposure to specialist clinics.
I am adept at fostering interdisciplinary collaboration with consultants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and committed to continuous professional development, attending advanced courses and masterclasses in orthotics, gait analysis, leadership, medico-legal skills, and healthcare management.
Core strengths include clinical assessment and prescription, bespoke orthotic fabrication, multidisciplinary collaboration, staff mentorship, quality improvement, and healthcare management.
